In the Company of Men

It is not a new revelation that I am more comfortable in the presence of men rather than women. I am not saying I prefer the company of men over women, I am just more at ease, more comfortable with men. I have never spoken to a professional about this (Dr. Valerie, perhaps you can confirm my theory...), but looking back on my life I think I know exactly why this is. I grew up the only girl with two brothers. I am the only girl on my Mother's side of the family, with my two brothers and three cousins, that is one girl and five boys. I got to really thinking about it and realized that most of the men I am close to in my life are brothers, I am not saying I am friends with a lot of pairs of brothers, but most of the men in my life have brothers and no sisters. As I was searching my memory trying to prove my theory wrong, I realized that most of the women I am close to are the only girls in their family, whether they have brothers or are an only child. Not that this explains anything earth-shattering about me, except maybe explains why I like Jackass so much, being a girl and all...
