Coco My Co-Worker

Whew! Has it really been a month since the whirlwind of the Holidays? 2010 so far has been a busy year! At work we are preparing for Spring 2010 and at home I am trying to get organized and get some new projects going...

I have been at my new job for 4 months now and feel fairly confident in what I am doing now. As with most jobs, there are perks, sure I get to take home samples (which just happen to be SHOES), but my favorite perk is Coco. Coco is a little ragamuffin of a dog. At first glance she looks like one of those cute little lap dogs carried around in designer doggie totes, but Coco is not a girlie girl dog. No Coco likes to chase squirrels and birds in her backyard. She runs around in the rain. She brings you rocks and twigs as tokens of friendship. She jumps in my lap with muddy paws when she wants some attention, sometimes even standing on my desk. Coco is needy, she wants lots of attention. But Coco's heart belongs to Jeffrey Campbell, with Jeffrey traveling all over the globe she seeks attention elsewhere when he is gone and I happen to be the target. When Jeffrey is not around Coco is at my feet, follows me everywhere, is either on my lap, on my chair behind me or in her bed next to my desk. But... when Jeffrey is home, Coco abandons me, she is nowhere to be found, because she is with Jeffrey. Even with her ditching me for the attention of a man, Coco is still my favorite co-worker.
